The first meeting of Association of Orthodox Christian Scholars in 2016

Held this year for the first time, the meeting of Association of Christian Orthodox Scholars took place in Otradnoye  on the 14th of February. Along with the representatives  from Lipetsk and Kursk, approximately  50 members of the Association participated in the meeting.
The speakers shared  the impression they had got of the conference “ Spiritual and Moral Culture in Higher School” , which was hosted by People’s Friendship University of Russia in the frames of International Christmas Educational Readings on the 23 of January 2016.
The subscription to the magazine” International Scientific Bulletin”( Bulletin of Association of Christian Orthodox Scholars), the current issues  were traditionally discussed during the meeting, new members of the Association were accepted.
One of the main themes of the meeting was preparation to the 5th International conference “The Orthodox Christian Scholar in the modern world”. This year a mentioned above  conference is going to be held at the end of May in the Suprasl Theological Academy( Poland). 
Besides, two more conferences are going to be organized : on the 20th of May 2016 – Annual International Youth Forum in Belgorod, on the 24th of May in Chelyabinsk to honour the memory of Saints Cyril and Methodius, Equals to the Apostles.
