A study at the UJI shows the effectiveness of virtual reality in the treatment of fibromyalgia

Researchers at the Universitat Jaume I (UJI) have shown that virtual reality has high efficacy in the psychological treatment of fibromyalgia and high acceptability among those with the disease. This was shown by the results of a controlled clinical trial that was the first in the world to use virtual reality to treat fibromyalgia. The treatment developed can also be applied for the chronic pain caused by other diseases.
